Computerworld: Before Steve Jobs unveiled the new iPad, 26 percent of those surveyed said they had heard of the iPad but weren't interested in purchasing one. After the release, that number jumped up to 52 percent. Asked whether they planned to purchase an iPad, a whopping 61 percent said "No."
Manish Rathi, co-founder of Retrevo, the company that performed the survey, said, "There was too much hoopla. There was so much [hype] that afterward, people were underwhelmed because they expected it would slice bread."
