InformationWeek: Less than one year after becoming the sole CEO at SAP, Leo Apotheker has resigned from SAP. Apotheker's term in office was marked by controversy, and the press release did not make it clear whether he resigned on his own or was forced out by the board.
In his place, SAP will assign two of its other executives as co-CEOs. As the current head of SAP's field organization, Bill McDermott, will bring sales and operational experience to his new role, and head of product development Jim Hagemann Snabe comes to the role with 20 years of product experience.
