NetworkWorld: Although IT employment still lags 200,000 jobs behind its peak in 2008, the statistics look promising for the year so far. In February, IT employment grew by 0.37 percent with 14,000 new jobs. In January, the sector added 12,900 jobs.

"Posting an increase of over 25,000 IT jobs during the first two months of the year is both heartening and a positive harbinger for the future, said Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance," in a statement. He added that the data indicates "renewed optimism" and shows that companies are reversing "recession driven cutbacks."
