FCC Plan Would Greatly Expand Broadband Internet Connections

Today, the Federal Communications Commission gives Congress its plan for increasing the percentage of Americans with high-speed Internet connections.

Washington Post: Although details of the plan have been trickling out for weeks, today the Federal Communications Commission will present its broadband plan for Congress. The plan aims to increase the number of Americans with access to high-speed Internet connections from 65 percent to 90 percent.

Broadband providers and networking equipment providers are expected to be the biggest beneficiaries of the new plan.
