eSecurity Planet: The latest report from the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) confirms what many people have suspected: cybercrime is skyrocketing. The total number of cybercrime complaints rose 22 percent in 2009 to 336,655 cases. That resulted in $560 million in losses, about double the amount lost to online scammers in 2008.

The most commonly reported type of fraud? Scams involving the FBI's name or likeness topped the list with 16.6 percent of complaints.
