cnet: Many people applauded the inclusion of an "XP mode" feature in Windows 7, but until now, not everyone has been able to use it. However, Microsoft has announced that users no longer need a PC that supports hardware that supports virtualization in order to use the mode.
"This change simplifies the experience by making virtualization more accessible to many more PCs for small and midsize businesses wanting to migrate to Windows 7 Professional or higher editions, while still running Windows XP-based productivity applications," the company said in a blog post.
