Dell Warns Of Spyware-Infected Server Motherboards

The company is warning some organizations that purchased PowerEdge R410 Rack servers that their motherboards may be infected with malware.

The Register: Dell has begun warning some customers who purchased PowerEdge R410 Rack servers that they may have malware within the embedded systems management software on their motherboards. The company is contacting affected organizations directly and hasn't publicly provided any technical details or a process for removing the software, which is said to be spyware.

The problem appears to affect Windows machines only.
