Wall Street Journal: As Google has pulled back it's presence in China, competitor Baidu's profits have soared, more than doubling in the second quarter compared to the previous year. The Chinese search engine reported net profits of 837.4 million yuan, or about $123.5 million.

During the quarter, Baidu's Chinese market share grew by about 6 percent, while Google's share fell by the same amount.
