VMware Revenues Up 48%

The company has raised its revenue projections for the year to $2.8 billion.

InformationWeek: For the second quarter in a row, revenue for virtualization giant VMware was up significantly from the year before. For the second quarter of 2010, the company reported revenue of $674 million, a 48 percent year-over-year increase. Income also rose, hitting $75 million or $.18 per share, which compares to $33 million or $.08 per share for the same period in 2009.

Based on these results, VMware raised its annual revenue predictions from $2.7 billion to $2.8 billion.
