NY Times: In the U.S., Microsoft's Bing powers Yahoo's search engine. But Yahoo Japan (which is 34.8 percent owned by Yahoo) has announced that Google will now provide its search services.
In Japan, Yahoo has the lion's share of the search market, at 53.2 percent, while Google has 37.3 percent of searches. Following the new alliance, Google will control 90 percent of Japanese search queries.
