CIO: HP has announced a new Flexible Data Center which it says can reduce construction costs by 50 percent and allow enterprises to build new facilities in four to six months. "We came up with a Lego-like concept, an industrialized approach to data center design," explained HP's Kfir Godrich.

The 6,000-square-foot metal structures include a central operations building and four halls or quadrants that can be added one at a time as capacity needs increase.
