TG Daily: The latest statistics from Nielsen Internet Research show a significant change in the way users spend their online time. Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter now account for 23 percent of online time, an increase of seven percentage points over last year. Online gaming also jumped up and now accounts for 10 percent of users' time, overtaking e-mail as the second most popular online activity.
By contrast, users spent less time checking e-mail, reading news and visiting portal sites. Other activities like shopping, random surfing and watching video remained relatively unchanged.
