Action Technologies offers first eBRM suite for PSOs
Action Technologies has introduced the first eBusiness Relationship Management (eBRM) application for professional service organizations (PSOs). Called eBRM2000, the new software increases customer satisfaction and manages the profitability of a service engagement's revenue generating activities through rich client interactions.

eBRM2000 is powered by ActionWorks Metro, Action Technologies' business process automation software. As part of a robust feature set, eBRM2000 provides document management, best practice management, delivery management, resource management, business management, interaction management, and knowledge management.

Insite Objects utility helps SAP site managers
Insite Objects has introduced a new Web Help Utility for SAP R/3 (WHUS). This utility adds a menu item that allows an SAP project team or administrator to offer users instant access to customized, site-specific HTML help documents for SAP.

Because WHUS is installed in parallel with the standard SAP help system, users still have full access to the standard SAP extended help option. With context-sensitivity, WHUS enables the user to access help configured at the DYNPRO, module, or transaction level. WHUS is fast, easy to install, and simple to use.

WHUS works with any Web browser and is compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000 operating systems, as well as Macintosh and SAP-supported versions of UNIX.

Touchtone introduces eCRM software for AS/400
Touchtone has released Wintouch eCRM, a Java-based enterprise or application service provider (ASP) Web-enabled solution for customer care, sales force automation (SFA), and marketing automation applications.

Wintouch eCRM Customer Care combines customer, contact, and activity information with integrated e-mail, chat, help desk, and customer applications. Its SFA application facilitates and automates processes and workflow in the sales cycle, including contact management, sales opportunity identification, and tracking and sales forecasting. The marketing automation provides solutions for lead distribution and marketing campaign management including targeting, planning, and analysis.

In addition to custom enterprise GUI screen design, departments or end users can additionally drag and drop fields for additional customization. Screen field labels are also easily changed for language localization. There is no limit to the number of database fields or customer/contact records.

Bearing Inspection selects Epicor's Impresa MRO software
Bearing Inspection, a unit of Strategic Industries, has selected Epicor's Impresa maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) software to manage its MRO, supply chain, and financial operations. Bearing Inspection, which provides inspection and overhaul of bearings for a variety of aircraft turbine engines, is standardizing on Impresa to streamline operations at its California and Massachusetts facilities.

Great Plains Software reports record third quarter
Great Plains Software reported record third quarter revenues of .1 million, a 34% increase over the same period last fiscal year. Revenues for the nine months ended February 29, 2000 were .3 million, an increase of 43% over the same period last fiscal year.

Net income and diluted earnings per share for the third fiscal quarter, excluding the effect of amortization of acquired intangibles, were .5 million and 21 cents per share, respectively. These results compare to .5 million and 24 cents per share for the same period last fiscal year.

Net income and diluted earnings per share for the nine months ended February 29, 2000, excluding the effect of amortization of acquired intangibles, were .7 million and 72 cents per share, respectively, compared to .9 million and 61 cents per share for the same period last fiscal year.

Cybermation software agent provides flexible SAP R/3 scheduling
Cybermation has introduced a new version of its ESP Agent for the SAP R/3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. This agent, Version 2.0, is certified compliant by SAP and offers increased flexibility in the scheduling and monitoring of batch workload run within R/3 systems.

This agent will work with R/3 systems running on AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Windows NT operating system servers. Users will be able to monitor R/3 batch workload from the same workstations that they use for all applications.

PowerCerv's ERP Plus receives Microsoft BackOffice certification
PowerCerv ERP Plus 9.0 has received Microsoft BackOffice certification. ERP Plus 9.0 is a Web-enabled suite of integrated customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications designed to streamline business practices and enhance communications throughout the entire virtual supply chain.

Microsoft BackOffice certification indicates that ERP Plus 9.0 met stringent, Microsoft-defined technical criteria in the Windows NT Server and Microsoft BackOffice environments. Core requirements for certification include: Win32 Application Programming Interface (API), single sign-on with no forced security revalidation after logon, ability to publish performance monitor indicators through Microsoft Windows NT APIs, ability to publish events to an event log, and the ability to run as a Windows 2000 Server Service or COM+ application. An independent BackOffice authorized testing center performed the testing.

Niku Selects NEON for Internal Infrastructure
Niku has selected New Era of Networks' (NEON) technology for its internal IT infrastructure. NEON will provide an infrastructure platform on which the company can build, add, and change its internal packaged application solutions.

Niku has licensed NEON's e-business infrastructure platform to integrate the company's core IT infrastructure, such as Niku professional services automation applications, ERP solutions, customer relationship management (CRM), technical support, and accounting systems.

MAXIMUS fleet management software now on Linux and Windows 2000
CSI-MAXIMUS, a division of MAXIMUS, announced today the availability of both Linux-based and Windows 2000-based fleet management systems that run on the Oracle database as part of its suite of fleet enterprise applications (FEAi).

In addition to the Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows 2000 versions, CSI-MAXIMUS offers fleet systems that run on NT 4.0 from Microsoft, AIX from IBM, HP-UX from Hewlett-Packard, Digital UNIX from DEC, and Solaris from Sun.

Bank of America selects NCR Relationship Optimizer
Bank of America has selected NCR's Relationship Optimizer software suite to help it respond to consumers' individual needs with multi-channel event-based marketing. The NCR Relationship Optimizer, which will be used with Bank of America's existing NCR Teradata Warehouse, will allow the bank to use all of its detailed consumer data to service customers better through highly relevant marketing programs. NCR Relationship Optimizer enables a business to respond to changes in customer behavior with targeted communications, and then record, analyze, and serve each individual consumer's unique needs.

Brio.Portal to integrate Autonomy
Brio Technology has licensed Autonomy's technology for the automatic discovery, categorization, and personalization of vast amounts of unstructured information, including documents, e-mails and Web content. It will be integrated with Brio.Portal to provide a combined proactive enterprise portal solution that leverages applications, production, and warehouse data.

The integration of Autonomy's pattern-matching technology enables Brio.Portal to identify and rank the main concepts within any piece of text (independent of the language). Autonomy's solution retrieves relevant matches and assigns a rating far more accurate than any keyword-based system on the market today. Autonomy also enables the automatic categorization, linking, and personalization of information.
